1. Service Description

Editorial Check is an AI-powered editorial verification platform that provides tools for fact-checking, plagiarism detection, AI content detection and humanization, editorial auditing, AI citation auditing, SEO optimization, and benchmark analysis against top-performing industry content, plus professional PDF, DOCX, and Markdown export with custom branding. You submit your own content — pasted or uploaded text — and the platform analyzes it; Editorial Check does not generate, write, or author content on your behalf. The platform is intended for professional and personal editorial use.

AI-Assisted Analysis Only: All analysis results produced by Editorial Check — including fact-check verdicts, plagiarism scores, AI-detection probabilities, and editorial or citation audit scores — are AI-assisted assessments. They are explicitly not a substitute for human editorial judgment. The platform enforces strict anti-hallucination standards in its AI prompts; however, AI outputs may still contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and must always be reviewed by a qualified human editor before you act on them.

Multilingual Support: Editorial Check's analysis tools automatically detect the language of submitted text and respond in that same language, including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, and Chinese. Accuracy may vary across languages.

Export features allow you to download analysis reports in PDF, DOCX (Word), and Markdown formats for offline sharing, storage, and further editing.

Data Isolation: All user content is protected by strict database-level row-level security (RLS). Each user can only access, modify, and delete their own reports. No cross-user data access is technically possible within the platform.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Editorial Check. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to enter into these Terms.

3. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Editorial Check provides AI-assisted tools for editorial support. We do not guarantee any specific results, including but not limited to search engine rankings, editorial performance outcomes, or the accuracy of any AI-generated analysis result.

All analysis results must be reviewed by a qualified human editor before you rely on them. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and suitability of any content you publish based on Editorial Check's output. AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, errors, outdated information, or unverified claims despite the platform's best-effort anti-hallucination measures.

No Defamation or Legal Liability: Editorial Check's analysis tools apply anti-hallucination safeguards to avoid presenting unverified claims as fact. Nevertheless, users remain solely responsible for reviewing their own content for legal compliance — including defamation, privacy, and copyright law — before publishing it.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Available Plans: Editorial Check offers a Free plan (5 basic analyses/month, Fact-Check and Plagiarism only) and two paid subscription plans: Editor ($14.90/month · 40 analyses/month, all 8 tools) and Editor Pro ($39.90/month · 150 analyses/month, all 8 tools). Annual billing is available on paid plans at a discount. Fact-Check, Plagiarism, AI Detection, Citation Audit, Editorial Audit, SEO Optimizer, Benchmark, and Humanizer all draw from a single shared monthly analyses pool, in any mix. Plan limits reset monthly.

Billing Currency: All subscriptions are billed in USD (US Dollars).

Payment Processor: Payments are securely processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Credit card data is never stored on Editorial Check servers.

Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged at the then-current subscription rate. You have the right to cancel at any time.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@laenethylabs.com. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused periods.

Refund Policy: Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@laenethylabs.com within 7 days of a charge. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests at our sole discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Editorial Check for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems.
• Submit content to Editorial Check in order to launder or legitimize defamatory, harassing, or malicious content.
• Use the AI Humanizer to disguise AI-generated text as independently researched or human-written journalism without disclosing AI involvement, where required by law or publication policy.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Circumvent usage limits, security mechanisms, or access controls.
• Use the platform to infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.
• Use the platform to analyze or process content that violates GDPR or other applicable privacy laws, including personal data about individuals submitted without a legal basis.
• Distribute AI-humanized text without complying with applicable AI transparency requirements, including the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) Article 50 obligation to disclose AI-generated or AI-modified text intended for public distribution, where applicable in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: All content you upload or submit to Editorial Check remains your sole intellectual property. You retain all rights, title, and interest in your content.

You grant Editorial Check only the minimal license necessary to:

• Store and process your content in order to provide analysis results.
• Retain your analysis reports and exported documents for your account.
• Display your content within your account dashboard.

Analysis Inputs: Text submitted to Fact-Check, Plagiarism, AI Detection, or AI Citation Audit is stored together with the resulting report on your account. Text submitted to Editorial Audit, SEO Optimizer, or Benchmark Analysis is processed transiently and discarded immediately after the result is returned — not stored. None of this text is ever shared with third parties or used for AI training.

Editorial Check IP: The Editorial Check platform, branding, and underlying technology are owned by Harbinger Bros. LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of Editorial Check is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We are committed to data minimization and strict data isolation. Text you submit is never shared with third parties and never used to train AI models — some tools store it as part of your analysis reports, others discard it immediately (see Section 6, "Analysis Inputs," for which is which). All stored reports are protected by database-level row-level security — only the account owner can access their own data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Harbinger Bros. LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of Editorial Check.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Editorial Check is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated outputs will be accurate or complete.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Consumer Rights: If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or any other jurisdiction, your mandatory consumer protection rights under your local laws are expressly preserved and shall not be limited or waived by these Terms. These include, where applicable, your rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, or the Australian Privacy Act.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting support@laenethylabs.com.

If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA, in the English language.

You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits against Harbinger Bros. LLC to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Editorial Check after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification with at least 14 days' notice.
